Durham Park & Catering LLC started out over 50 years ago as Carol Park and Rustige Catering Company by a man named Paul Rustige. Mr. Rustige decided to name the park after his daughter, Carol. Paul worked hard to establish the company and build his clientele. During this time Mr. Rustige acquired a devoted employee named Ron Gween.
About 20 years after the company was started Mr. Rustige became ill and had a hard time keeping up with the business. At that time Ron decided to purchase the company from Paul and keep it running just as Mr. Rustige had. He specialized in company picnics and catering. Mr. Gween continued to build up the clientele and make a name for the company. After 35 years of hard work and long hours Ron decided to retire and sell the company to another family, the Durhams.
In purchasing the company from Mr. Gween we decided to add our name to let people know there was new ownership, changing the name to Durham's Carol Park and Rustige Catering Company. We gave the company a facelift and a fresh start and when we were completely transitioned we changed the name once more making it our own, Durham Park and Catering LLC. Durham Park and Catering is a family owned and operated company that provides a dependable, quality service to the community and surrounding areas.
